遥かなるロシア 寒いところ

寒そうなシベリヤ鉄道

私は極度の寒がりなので、ロシア文学は好きであってもロシアに行きたいと思ったこともなく、行く羽目になった時は何よりも寒さにおびえました。

親切な人たちは、「モスクワが寒いと言ったって、ニューヨークくらいのものさ」

その些細な言葉にも随分と励まされたものです。

 情け深いボスのお陰で、私たちは南ロシアで過ごすことができましたけれど、ある年の冬、南ロシアの若者たちが韓国に行くことになり、それも数十人が行くことになり、費用の問題で汽車で行くことになりました。

南ロシアからモスクワにたどり着くまで一日はかかるし、延々とシベリア大陸を横断鉄道で ７日。シベリアを飛行機であるいは列車で横断すれば、日本や韓国はあっという間ですものね。

小さな日本に住んでいると、まったく別世界の大陸の大きさにはびっくりするものです。

”いいじゃなーい。車窓から見るシベリアの景色はとてもよいそうよ。バイカル湖の辺も走るし。たくさん食べ物もって、暖かくして楽しんでね。”

送り出した若者たち。

彼らもはしゃいでいました。

帰って来たその日の姿はホウホウのていで、疲れきって情けなさそうな笑顔を見せてくれました。

どうしたことか。

彼らの列車は由緒あるシベリヤ横断列車ではなくて、貨物列車のようであったそうです。
暖房も少しは入っていた程度で、隣の車両には牛か豚がいた様だとさえ言っていました。

やたらと値切ったのでょうか。

寒さと飢え。食べ物はあっても寒くて食べた気もしなかったといいます。

バイカル湖も綺麗な車窓の景色も眼中にはなく、寒さとの戦いであったようです。

本当に気の毒な話でした。
そして、やはり寒そうです。

 I am a person  so extreme sensitivity to cold, even I  loved Russian  literature, I never wanted to visit Russia.
The day I must go to Russia
People were kindly told me, "Cold in Moscow and New York are not so much different."
It  was encouraged me.
 Thanks to a our boss,  we were able to spend in South Russia, One  winter ,some young people in South Russia to go to Korea, will be dozens of people because of costs decided to go by train.It take a day  to Moscow from South Russia, crossing the Siberia train takes 7 days.
 living in Japan is small, the size of the continent of another world is surprised at all.

"You can enjoy Siberian landscape seen from the train , the Lake Baikal is also ,Have a lot of food, and enjoy it and make yourself warm ."I told them to  sent out.

What happened to them! Appearance that day They came back gave me a exhausted weak smile.
Their train across the Siberia was not traditional famous Siberian train,It was like a freight train.A little heating , the next vehicle was like there was a cow or pig. They did not care views of the lake Baikal, seems to have been the fight against the cold. Story was really pitiful.
