やがて盛夏を迎える候となりますけれど、ロストフ ナ ダヌーの夏の暑さはすごいものでした。
案内書には、この都市は温暖な大陸性気候。と紹介されていますけれど、ここに来る旅人はあまりいないのでどうでもいいのでしょうけれど、砂漠性気候と言ったほうがよさそうです。
何せこの町から平坦な大地が、気が遠くなるほどにボルゴグラードに続き、その先はカスピ海。
そしてカスピ海の向こうにカザフスタンと言う国が存在し、その国はユーラシア大陸の中心に位置しており、世界第9位の広大な国土面積を有し、同時に世界最大の内陸国であります。
但し、国土の大部分はサルイイシコトラウ砂漠やキジルクム砂漠などの砂漠や乾燥したステップ で占められておりまして、夏の気温が著しく高いとは想像がつくと言うものです。
その上昇気流がロストフ ナ ダヌー に流れ込んできまして、われらが気温が跳ね上がるのです。
ある夏なぞ、４０度を越えましたよ。
「４０度を超えることなぞありえない。」
と日本の友は言いましたけれど、家の寒暖計が４５度を指していたのですよ。
”よく私は生きているなー” と思いました。誰も彼もが、何事もないかのように日常生活を営んでおりました。
何よりも、湿気がないのが幸いでした。
われ等が住家は、隣の大屋さんの手作りの様な家屋でしたので、夏の風通しの悪いこと甚だしく、日が落ちてもあまりにも暑いので同居していた若者たちは窓もドアーも全開して寝るのです。
「決して安全ではないこの国で、物騒だよー。」
私がしっかり戸を閉めて鍵を掛けても、いつの間にかすべての戸は開いていました。
今も相変わらずの暑さであるかどうかは知りませんけれど、日本の湿度の高さよりはましだった気がします。
それでも人々は静かに、今も昔もそこで人生を送っております。
住めば都と言いますものね。

One summer, It was over 40 degrees.
"It is Impossible more than 40 degrees"
Japanese friend who lived in Japan.told me.but I saw thermometer 45 degrees of the house.
Because it was like a handmade house next landlords,
young people had been living together with us they were going to sleep to fully open doors and windows
" This country is not safe, this is a not good idea."
I closed all doors, again all doors were open .
It was hot but much better than Japaneses wet summer.
