ソリガーリチ、とは耳慣れないロシアの古い小さな町の名前です。
私がふと目にしたこの雪景色が、昔ボルゴルラードの名前も覚えていない寒村の友の家で一泊し、夜中に雪踏み分けてトイレに行った光景を思い起こしたので、どこの村かと興味を持ったところソリガーリチと言う町の光景で、私が訪ねたボルゴルラードの寒村からそれほど遠方でもなく、よってよく似た風景であるようです。
今では最果ての名もない村であるけれど、かっては塩水の泉が湧き岩塩が採掘される製塩の町として誕生し、「ソリ＝ガーリツカヤ」（Соль-Галицкая、ガーリチの塩）と呼ばれ、１８２３年岩塩が枯渇するまではスカンジナビアでもここの塩は重宝され、大きな利益をもたらせていたと言われています。
昔の光いまいずこ、雪に閉ざされた冬のソリガーリチの民話風の映像ですけれど、今もなお、延々とした人間のごく普通の生活が営まれているのですよね。
