遥かなるロシア レオトルストイ駅 その２

トルストイが3等車に乗っていて辺境の駅で倒れたと言っても、一人ぼっちで行き倒れになったというわけではありません。

彼にはいつも主治医が付き添っておりましたし、娘も駆けつけて来ておりました。

この駅の名誉の為に申し添えると、見窄らしい粗末な駅ではなく，急拡大しつつあったロシアの鉄道網において、地方駅のモデルプロジェクトとみなすことができるような駅だった。とロシアビヨョンドはつたえております。

更に駅長は一目で、トルストイとわかり宿舎を提供しました。
この駅長さんはトルストイが大好きで、誇っていたのですね。ロシアでは小学生でもトルストイを暗証しているのですから。

何せ世界的文豪、思想家、説教者でありましたから、アスターポヴォ駅付近はその後の1週間国際的な話題の地となり、電報による病状発表が絶え間なく発信され、沢山のレポーターたちが駅界隈に集ったそうです。

最後の頃には、フランスのパテ・ニュース会社から映画制作チームさえもが到着したということです。

妻のソフィア・アンドレーヴナは、その日の夕方に1等車で到着し、その客車はその間、駅に停車したまま、彼らの宿泊所とさえなったそうです。

駅長さんは、この寝室を偉大な作家が亡くなった時のままに残すことに決め、横たわるトルストイの頭と胴体によって映し出された壁紙の影の輪郭が写され、保存され、死後1日も経たないうちに飾り板がその部屋のドアの上に貼られ、駅の時計は6時5分を指したまま止められたという、ロシアの誇るトルストイが、彼の愛したロシアの普通の人々の真っ只中で逝かれた大いなる最後の時でした。

もう一つ言うなれば、トルストイはロシア正教から破門されていたのですね。

それは今に至ってさえも解かれてはおりませんが、そんなことは何のその神様が人間を破門にすることなぞはございませんから。

一般庶民はそのような一宗教の教義なぞは意に介していないのですよね。ロシア正教と一体であるかのように言われるロシア人であっても、トルストイは我らが世界に誇る偉人なのですから。

Even though Tolstoy got sick at a station on the outskirts, it does not mean that he was alone. He was always accompanied by a doctor .

Tolstoy was exhumed from Russian Orthodoxy. It has not even been solved until now, but that's not the ordinary people have in mind for such a religious religion. Even  the Russians are said to be one with Russian Orthodox.Tolstoy is a great man who is proud of our Russian to the world.
